Landscape / Garden Design

“Let us help you create your own private oasis today”

The process of designing your outdoor space is a fun and exciting time where you get to conceptualize your vision for your property.

We start this exciting process off by organizing a design and horticultural consultation period with you, which  generally takes 60-90 minutes, depending on the size of your project. During this first visit we start things off by discussing with you exactly what it is you wish to utilize your space for, what if anything you want your outdoor space to represent for you, and how much maintenance you want the space to be for you in the future? We then take measurements and specific notes regarding each aspect of the property along with your detailed thoughts. You are also given the opportunity to review previous projects in our portfolio to help provide further inspiration, should it be required.

The project then moves into the next phase where our head landscape designer completes a rough drawing called a “Concept Design”, which is the part that starts to really bring your ideas to life for the very first time! We then meet to further discuss specific aspects of the design once you are able to visualize it. This allows for the discussion of any necessary changes, outlining various products and materials that can be utilized as well as some of the finer horticultural details that may require clarification. The final plan is then drawn out in full and you are provided with a quote it out and a project commencement date is chosen.

The project then moves into the installation phase, which can involve the removal of any unneeded plant material and hardscape, the shaping out of the new garden, the prepping the base for any interlocking walls or walkways, and any building or heavy rockwork that may be required. We then begin placing out the new plants in the garden, transplanting any salvaged ones to their new location, laying sod in the required areas and putting the final finishing touches on your newly created private oasis!

CDC Landscaping prides itself on our workplace etiquette and ensure your property is never left untidy throughout the entire process.
